Organizational leadership is a type of management that is embedded within the organization. The role is rather complex in that it features three main components. The first concern is focused on strategic planning of the company or organization. The organizational leader must understand the agency's goals. The second area of focus is performance management. Tracking the company's overall performance will provide information about its strengths as well as its areas of weaknesses. This information will be used for determining criteria of focus for creating a more efficient work environment. Change is the third area of focus, as it is always an underlying focus of leadership.
