Education B School ranking
Wednesday, August 15, 2012
As the season for MBA admissions gets over for almost all B schools, it also marks the end of a very hectic season for numerous students. After appearing in entrance tests, surfing through the B school rankings and credentials, selecting from the best B schools in India, and appearing in GD/PI's – the time has come when the students, or rather, the selected students get the first taste of an MBA program, in its truest sense. Whatever they might have heard about an MBA program tend to come alive in front of their own eyes. Top business schools in India very often tend to get the most brilliant minds —the 99 and 100 percentilers in CAT. These top business schools almost every year tend to take up the top positions in B-school rankings. As the classes begin in many B Schools, extra classes play another important role. These classes are organized primarily for the students who come from non commerce backgrounds and face problems in finance related subjects. These classes are held with the intention of getting these students acquainted with the basic concepts of commerce related subjects like, financial and cost accounting, financial management, taxation, etc. This way, these students don't face much problem when the regular classes begin. So, it's back to business once again for the students. Lectures, assignments, presentations, project reports, seminars, case studies, and the most feared end term and mid-term examinations once again become an inseparable part of life. To add to the pressure, the students must also keep themselves updated with the latest happenings of the industry and the economy. Though this may feel unnecessary at the time of the course, yet, more often than not, this makes the difference during the summer and final placements as many organizations conduct GD's during placements. Placements, is another important factor, that sets a B School apart from its competitors. Which are the companies that visit the campus for summer and final placements tells a lot about the institute's reach. After all, when a student is spending lakhs of Rupees to get an MBA degree, they would also expect the management of the institute to rope in reputed companies who can offer handsome salary packages and stipends, be it during the summer placements or during the final placements. Another important part of an MBA program is the industrial visit. Here, the students get a first hand experience of how actually work is done in the industries, what goes behind those wonderful products that they see in the market. This includes, manufacturing processes, packaging processes etc. the safety rules that are followed, the equipments used, and how the companies adjust themselves when a new technology or machine is launched. Among all the cities that have shaped the management careers of many students, Bangalore is one city that stands out in this aspect. MBA colleges in Bangalore offer much more than what has been said so far. An excellent environment where the students can whole heartedly concentrate on their work without any disturbances is one speciality of MBA colleges in Bangalore. B Schools in Bangalore boast of libraries with the latest books, journals, periodicals, etc., computer laboratories with the latest hardware and software, and classroom facilities that makes learning fun. The list does not end here. MBA colleges in Bangalore also boast of faculties with years of experience who take the utmost care to train and educate the student about everything that they need to know, not only from the books, but also from their experience that can help them successfully enter into the competitive professional world.
